narrative poem

I told little jimmy many things
Many things important
But there's one I hope stuck with him
It surely would be worth it

One day little jimmy came crying to me
His mouth twisted in pain
I said what could you have done now
He said I fell off a trampoline and got a bad sprain

Now to this boy I said
Now jimmy how did you land
And he replied back
I landed on some sand

Now I was very distraught
I asked how could you sprain your ankle on some sand
He said I don't know
Then he said lay off man you have such great demands

Then I said
Now jimmy if I were to lay off who would help the sprain
He then replied
I'm sorry that wasn't me talking it was the pain

Good now that we have this sorted out we can get back to your ankle
He said so what should I do
I thought for a moment then said
Go to the hospital they will know what is best for you

I hope he remembers this lesson but I bet you he will not
See I told you as he knocks on the door again
I see him holding his arm as he walks in crying and I said
Jimmy your bane will forever be the fact that you are insane
